Opening Week (incoming fall 2024 students)

Sunday, August 11 to Friday, August 16 

Opening Week 2024 begins with move-in Sunday, August 11 and concludes with the Project X race on Friday, August 16. Interactive programs will fill your week and build the foundation for a successful career at Missouri S&T.

Trailblazer (First-Generation) Brunch

Sunday, August 18 at 11 am

Are you the first in your family to attend a four-year University? If so, you are invited to attend the inaugural Trailblazer (First-Generation College Student) Brunch. Join us for great food, conversation, prizes and giveaways. You also won't want to miss your chance to meet S&T faculty, staff, and students that also identify as First-Gen Miners! Come and learn about how other First-Generation Miners found success in college.

The Trailblazer scholarship is available for first-generation, incoming first-year freshmen who apply for admission by April 1.

Cornerstone

The Cornerstone Peers scholarship and support program helps incoming students to develop foundational academic skills through scholarship funding, a peer support network and a student success checklist.
Student Success Center

The Student Success Center provides comprehensive support services such as tutoring, success coaching, and serving as a resource hub. This hub facilitates connections between students and various campus resources, fostering a holistic approach to academic success.
Academic Advising Center

Each new student is assigned an academic advisor to aid in the transition to S&T, building an educational plan to ensure success and persistence to graduation.

Student Well-Being

Student well-being provides counseling services, health promotion initiatives, and prevention programs to empower the S&T community to thrive and enhance personal, academic, and professional success.
Health Services

Student Health is available for students feeling under the weather. Students can visit the healthcare team as many times as they want, and many medicines are available at no additional cost.
