Admission Details

Missouri S&T takes special pride and concern for veterans, active duty military, reservists, guardsmen, dependents and defense civilians. We invite you to study with us and take advantage of our close proximity and association with Fort Leonard Wood.

Military Programs

Missouri S&T grants advanced placement in military science to:

  • Honorably discharged veterans of active military service
  • High school graduates with at least three years of Junior ROTC
  • Graduates of the Cadet Initial Entry Training, a four-week summer leadership camp at Fort Knox, Kentucky
  • Members of reserve components with basic and advanced training

Military science students must be approved by the professor of military science and have four semesters remaining in school to be considered. Physicals are required. In addition to advanced placement, Missouri S&T awards college credit for military experience in accordance with commendations outlined in the American Concil on Education's Guide to the Evaluation of Educational Experiences in the Armed Services.
