Movie Makers (Evening Camp)

2024 dates TBD

Learn what it takes to work with a team and create a story from concept to the big screen in this action-packed week!  Write, film, act, and edit in this one-of-a-kind experience for beginner “Gear Gurus” and “Creative Visionaries.”  We’ll end the week with a live film festival inviting the community to watch your work on the big screen.
Have you ever wondered what it takes to make a movie? Here’s your chance to stop watching, and start making! This is a very hands-on camp where you will learn everything from how to work with a team, “Hollywood” script creation, how to call a take on set, post-production essentials, and even how to act for the camera. This is truly “the creative meets the technical” as you have a chance to use professional equipment and learn from professional Creatives who work in the film and theater industry. Not only that, but on our last night of camp we will celebrate by inviting the community to come watch what your team has made during a red-carpet film festival.
If you have not had any “movie” experience before, we welcome all experience levels. This is for “creatives” and “tech heads” alike, who love to learn by doing and are thrilled about working with a team to create something great.
