Leading For Tomorrow Camp

July 24 - 28, 2023

PURPOSE: Preparing junior and senior students to be leaders for tomorrow for the common good in their schools and the community. Students will participate in an intensive leadership experience designed to challenge their perspectives and stretch their comfort zone.
CURRICULUM: Students will engage in interactive activities and experiences to explore, develop, and reflect on adaptive leadership, resiliency building, crucial conversations, immunity to change, and various other leadership practices. Students will gain knowledge to reflect on and apply to their own experiences, exploring how to be active leaders for tomorrow.

Registration Details

Date: July 24 - 28, 2023

Eligibility: Rising 11th and 12th graders

Capacity: Space is limited to 30 students.

Registration Fee:  $650 which includes housing in residence halls, meals, and all course materials.

Space is Limited: Early registration is recommended. Campers will be registered on a first-come, first-served basis, based upon date of registration and when payment is received. Waiting lists will be maintained and filled in the order that they were received should cancellations occur.

Registration Cancellation Policy

All camps will have a $50 registration fee (non-refundable, but applied to camp fee). Persons wishing to cancel their registration must do so two weeks (14 full days) prior to the first day of their chosen program. No refunds will be made after this date.

Objectives

  • Develop a deeper understanding of adaptive leadership, resiliency-building practices, immunity to change, and crucial conversations.
  • Explore and experiment with how to use leadership as an activity.
  • Understand how groups and teams can respond to adaptive challenges.
  • Create a personal leadership map of your goals in being an adaptive leader for the common good.

Transportation Policy

Participants are responsible for their own transportation to and from Missouri University of Science and Technology in Rolla, Missouri. USA Express provides shuttle service from St. Louis Lambert Airport to Rolla. You can contact USA Express by calling 1-800-872-9399 or visiting their website at http://www.usaxonline.com/. If you are having challenges arranging transportation, please contact the STEM Center for additional assistance.

Campus Cancellation Policy

Missouri S&T reserves the right to cancel any program in the event of insufficient registrations, severe weather or natural disaster. In the event of cancellation, registrants will be notified immediately via email and phone, and all fees will be returned in full.
