Epic Storytelling

Session I: Ages 8-11, July 26-30, 2021 (Virtual) | Session II: Ages 12-14, August 2-6, 2021 (Virtual)

This interactive camp will inspire students to create their own epic story through written exercises and dramatic performance. Through group activities and individual writing breaks, the instructor will engage the student’s imagination to create something exciting for the reader and listener. Telling a story is more than reading the words on the page. Students will learn to use different elements including volume, tone, gestures and more to create a storytelling experience for their listeners. This skill builds confidence in reading, as well as public speaking. Any student with a desire to create their own exciting tales and share them aloud should join!
