FAQ's

Q:  What time do I need to be at my event?

A: Discover Day will begin at 9:45 a.m in the Havener Center and will end between 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. depending on the choices selected for the visit.

Q:  Where is my event held?

A: Discover Day will be held in the Havener Center and academic department visits will be held in their offices within buildings across campus.

Q:  Do I need to check-in to my event?

A: Yes. You will check-in for the event at the Havener Center starting at 9:45 a.m. 

Q:  Are meals provided?

A: Prospective students receive a complimentary meal. Guest meals are available for purchase. For more information, refer to the Meals tab.

Q:  What should I wear?

A: Comfortable shoes are recommended. You will be walking to various locations across campus. 

Q:  Where do I park?

A: Campus visitors can park in Lot H37, Lot V, Lot X, or Lot C48.  Lot A21 has designated parking spaces for visitors facing Centennial Hall.  Please do not park in metered parking spaces. A campus map can be found HERE. A parking lot map can be found HERE.

Q:  Do I need a parking pass?

A: Yes. There will be a link to the parking pass in your confirmation email. Please download, print, and place it in the back window of your vehicle.

Q:  Can you provide local hotel and dining accommodations?

Campus visitors may park in Lot H37, Lot V, Lot X, or Lot C48. Lot A21 has designated parking spaces for visitors facing Centennial Hall.

Discover Day visitors are required to print and display a parking pass in their vehicle rear window. A parking pass link will be included in your event confirmation email. 

Please do not park in metered parking spaces.

Meals

Meals during the Summer semester

Lunch will be served at 11:45 a.m. in the Thomas Jefferson Dining Hall. Prospective students will receive a complimentary meal at any of the dining stations. Guest meals are available for purchase for $7 per guest (price subject to change).  Cash is preferred during check-in for Discover Day in exchange for a blue guest lunch coupon, however registers will be available in the Thomas Jefferson Dining Hall to accept cash, credit cards, or debit cards.

Meals in Thomas Jefferson Dining Hall are all-you-can-eat buffet style.  Dining options are listed below (subject to change upon availability).  For more information on Missouri S&T dining, visit https://dineoncampus.com/mst/dining-options.

Thomas Jefferson Dining Hall Dining Options:

Continental Bar | The continental bar is offered throughout the day and consists of bagels, Belgium waffles, eight different cereals, and English muffins.

Dessert Station | The dessert station offers fresh baked desserts and a variety of soft serve and hard ice cream flavors.

Fruit | Fruit is readily available and spread throughout the dining area.  Apples, bananas, cantaloupe, honeydew, oranges, pears, and pineapple are offered daily.  Kiwi, peaches, pomegranates, strawberries, and watermelon are offered seasonally.

Grill Station | The grill station offers a daily rotation of beef burgers, chicken breast, french fries, grilled pineapple, hotdogs, turkey burgers, and vegetarian black bean burgers.

Kitchen Line | The kitchen line offers homestyle favorites and comfort foods with a minimum of one meat and vegetarian entree′, two starches, and fresh steamed vegetables.

Pizza Station | The pizza station offers freshly made pizza dough cooked in a unique hearthstone oven.

Salad Bar | The salad bar offers three types of salad greens, two protein options, a combination of over ten fresh vegetable toppings, and freshly prepared cold salads.

If you or any of your guests have any dietary preferences, please contact Victoria Vita, Director of Residential Dining at Thomas Jefferson at victoria.vita@compass-usa.com.  A minimum of two weeks' notice is preferred.

 

Meals during the Fall and Spring semesters

Lunch will be served at 11:00 a.m. in the Havener Center Food Court.  Prospective students will receive a complimentary meal at any of the dining stations.  Guest meals are available for purchase at the regular price displayed at any of the dining stations (prices subject to change). You may upgrade your combo or add items for an additional fee.  Dining options are listed below (subject to change upon availability).

Registers will be available to accept cash, credit cards, or debit cards.

If you or any of your guests have any dietary preferences, please contact Jennifer Perry, Director of Operations at the Havener Center at jennifer.perry@compass-usa.com.  A minimum of two weeks' notice is preferred.

Havener Center Food Court Dining Options:

Build - Pizza | Build offers freshmade, dough to stone pizzas from a hearthstone oven, fresh salads, fresh fruit and daily pasta selections. Price range: $6.30-$7.25 plus tax

Chick-fil-A | Chicken sandwiches, salads, nuggets, waffle fries, milkshakes, hand-squeezed lemonade and fresh brewed iced tea (sweet and un-sweet). Price range: $6.55-$9.39 plus tax

Mondo Subs | Mondo's offers custom-made 6" & 12" sandwiches on fresh baked bread along with house-made chips and selections of fresh fruit. Price range: $4.45-$8.25 plus tax

Rustic Range | Rustic is your classic burger places with hand-pattied burgers, grilled cheese sandwiches and crispy fries. Price range: $5.28-$7.98 plus tax

Sono | Latin-inspired station serving tacos, burritos, burrito bowls, nachos, queso and other favoriets. Price range: $6.75-$8.20 plus tax

The Kitchen Station | Offers a daily rotating menu consisting of traditional, home-style meals, custom-made salads, fresh fruit and cultural favorites. Price range: $6.75-$8.25 plus tax

Zatar | Located on the Havener Center patio, this box man concept serves a Mediterranean menu featuring gyros, Greek salads, hummus, fresh pita bread and more. Price range: $6.39-$7.45 plus tax
