Philosophy is the analysis of the fundamental issues that surface when reflecting on ourselves and our society. Philosophy is a degree where thinking outside the box is not only encouraged, it’s required. Listing a degree in philosophy on your resume shows employers you have an inquisitive mind and can think critically and creatively.
With a philosophy degree, you can become a writer, teacher, legal expert, politician, manager, or entrepreneur, among other things.
Where do philosophers work?
Majoring in philosophy gives students the skills of introspection, analysis, and communication. It prepares students to pursue a career in law, business, education, or politics.
Philosophy has a lot to offer a technological research university. Professional ethics courses are part of almost every students' degree.
S&T students work together. Philosophy students collaborate on undergrad research projects with students in other programs.
