Transfer Assistance Program

Transfer Assistance Program (TAP) provides you with information about Missouri S&T, transfer programs, academic majors, scholarships and the application process, which helps you plan your course selection at a participating partner college or university by outlining the courses you need completed before transferring.  TAP also explains the process for how classes may directly transfer into a degree program at Missouri S&T.

Sign up for TAP

After enrolling in TAP, you become a part of our prospective transfer student database. Our transfer admissions staff will contact you about their upcoming visits to partner campuses in Missouri and contiguous states.  They are also available for consultation concerning your transfer issues by email and phone. TAP provides academic program counseling and access to transfer guides.  A transfer guide is a course of study developed in conjunction with participating partner colleges and universities. If you choose a college that does not have an established transfer guide, or does not offer one in your major, our transfer admissions staff will provide personalized counseling to help outline curriculum and ensure your smooth transition to Missouri S&T.

By enrolling in TAP, you will be informed about the transfer admissions process, scholarship deadlines and visits to campus. After enrolling in TAP, you will be assigned a Missouri S&T student ID number, which assures your catalog year. An undergraduate scholarship and application guide, information about specific academic departments of your choice, and transfer guides are mailed to you.

You will know you are on the right track by familiarizing yourself with the transfer guide established for your particular school and major and by staying in contact with transfer admissions staff should questions or concerns arise.

TAP students perform well academically. Cumulative grade point averages remain consistent after transfer. More than 85% of students who transfer as juniors, or with the equivalent of an associate's degree, go on to graduate with Missouri S&T degrees.

Every effort is made to help you acclimate to the campus. Transfer Advising Days and Transfer Transition Orientation events are designed specifically for transfer students.
